WARSAW TO HOST INTERNATIONAL JEWISH GENEALOGICAL CONFERENCE IN AUGUST

Registration is still open for the 38th International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies conference will be held in Warsaw August 5-10.

 A highlight of the event will be the Pamela Weisberger Memorial lecture, to be delivered by Barbara Kirshenblatt Gimblett. The lecture is entitled Meet the Family: A Journey of a Thousand Years at POLIN Museum.

NEW MONUMENT HONORS 10 JEWISH HOLOCAUST VICTIMS

A matzeva (tombstone) was recently erected in memory of 10 Jews from Wąwolnica and Nałęczów, who were murdered in the fall of 1942 and buried in Rogalow.

Thanks to locals who warmly remember their friends, we know that amongst others, here lie: Rachel Tarczyc, 22 years old; Shmuel Eisenshtark, 50 years old; and Mr. Pulawski, 50 years old.
